Ian Whiting
CEO
Ian is the CEO of Vela APX and a director of the companies in the region. Prior to this role, he has held numerous executive positions in IT companies ranging from global organisations, to startup and channel operators in the Asia Pacific region. Ian is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and holds degrees in business and IT.
Sebastian Ward
Head of Acquisitions
Sebastian leads acquisition opportunities and execution around the world. Prior to joining Vela he worked in EY’s Strategy & Transactions team, and has also supported Vela’s global M&A strategy. Sebastian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Ben Dowling
CFO
Ben is the CFO for the Vela APX group of companies, overseeing all financial operations for the group and business acquisitions and integrations through continued growth. Holding degrees in Accounting and Economics and as a member of Chartered Accountants Australia, Ben also brings over 11 years of experience in the commercial sector, holding various roles in accounting, finance and M&A.
Joanne Reichardt
Group HR Manager
Joanne is the Vela APX HR Manager, leading our HR and Payroll teams supporting the Vela group of companies. Joanne and her team work with business leaders and employees across all Vela business units to provide tailored HR guidance and support, as well as support the onboarding of newly acquired businesses and their teams. Prior to joining Vela, Joanne held a variety of HR leadership roles in the insurance, consumer foods, and manufacturing sectors.
