Vela APX Acquires Maxtel Software, Expanding Workforce Management and Payroll Offerings

Auckland, New Zealand – June 16, 2025 – Vela APX, a division of Vela Software Group and Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU), is pleased to announce the acquisition of Maxtel Software, a leading provider of workforce management, payroll, and back-office software in the Quick Service Restaurant vertical.

Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Auckland (New Zealand) , Maxtel Software is a leading provider of payroll & accounting and restaurant back-office solutions to quick service restaurants, cinema chains, coffee franchisees and corporate-owned stores across predominantly New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.

This acquisition aligns with Vela APX’s strategy to invest in mission-critical vertical market software businesses. By integrating Maxtel Software into its portfolio, Vela APX enhances its capabilities in delivering comprehensive workforce management, payroll and back-office solutions to a broader range of industries.
